Night Manager (3pm-11pm) - Janitorial and Building Maintenance

City Wide Facility Solutions is actively seeking a full time Evening Shift Night Manager for our Central New Jersey office Working hours are typically 3pm - 11pm or 4pm-12am, but can be flexible.

Objective

The Night Manager is responsible for ensuring that our Independent Contractors (IC) are providing janitorial and other maintenance services that meet our quality standards and fulfill our client's scope of work. The Night Manager will visit client facilities across Central New Jersey, such as warehouses, distribution centers, auto dealerships, industrial plants, offices, and medical facilities. The Night Manager must be able to exercise good judgment in escalating issues, providing proactive coaching to address performance shortfalls, and be willing to "roll up their sleeves" when necessary to solve problems.

Essential functions

• Develop and maintain productive, working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) and In-House labor by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems.
• Review scope of work and ensure quality assurance.
• Communicate with Facility Services Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including a nightly recap via email.
• Make recommendations for work assignments and terminations when necessary.
• Manage inspections, customer complaints, and customer requests following City Wide policies and procedures.
• Oversee both new client starts and new starts
• Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use.
• Other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Typical working hours 3pm - 11pm
• High school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry.
• Three years of prior experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team in multi-unit or locations.
• Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement.
• Bilingual Spanish is a must
• Handyman, carpet cleaning, strip/wax, etc. or other relevant experience a plus
