Global Life Science Hub is recruiting on behalf of a leading, fully integrated biosciences company known for its advanced drug delivery technologies, biosimilars, prodrugs, and extensive development pipeline. We are seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join the Quality Control team in Piscataway, NJ.

This role involves close collaboration with management on departmental strategy and projects. The candidate will act as the Microbiologist Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the absence of management, scheduling microbiological testing, product release, and validation protocol testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate microbiological testing, product release, and validation protocol testing.
• Perform organism identification and technical review of batch filling records to ensure aseptic process quality.
• Read and interpret microbiological cultures and related tests including environmental monitoring, sterility tests, growth promotion, and microbial limits tests.
• Engage in validation, technology transfer, troubleshooting, and policy procedure writing for quality initiatives.
• Review and approve environmental monitoring data, laboratory equipment, and records.
• Prepare process and status reports, assign and monitor document numbers, and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform additional functions as required or assigned, complying with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a scientific discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-8 years of related experience.
• Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.

Special Skills:

• Capable of undertaking special projects and/or duties as assigned by management.
• Proficient in training other Microbiologists on departmental methods, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborative skills to work with other departments to achieve company goals or projects.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective speaker capable of presenting before groups or employees within the organization.
• Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
