About the Role
The Manager Banquets is responsible for the event experience from meeting with potential event guests, the contracting process, and delivery of the final product.
Position Responsibilities
- Creating floor plans to maximize space
- Developing innovative set-ups, menus, and functions
- Implementing processes that ensure responsive feedbacks to event requests
- Developing policies and procedures
- Facilitate the ongoing events planning function
- Smooth flow of event planning information and feedback
- Upholding standards for contractual agreements
- Ease of booking experience for guests
- Unique offerings and personalized service
- Staying up-to-date on current trends and guest desires
- Event experiences that represent our brand
Essential Functions
· Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
· Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas
· Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs
Requirements
What’s Required
- 5 + years of catering management experience; focusing on sales and pre-event coordination in a high volume, high quality Resort environment
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and business skills
- High collaboration and negotiation skills
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to effectively communicate in English
