Full Job Description

As a Manager, Accounts Payable Operations at Corcentric, you will join a collaborative team within an ambitious, entrepreneurial global organization. This person plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality accounts payable services to clients while effectively managing relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.  You will become an expert in our Managed Accounts Payable solutions via the Corcentric Platform and to lead a team of analysts supporting our customers AP and Payments processes  Working at Corcentric will challenge you to invest heavily in your own professional development and allow you to take control of your career path by exposing you to a variety of procurement and finance processes across industries, where you are given the ability to help shape impactful, strategic improvements. 

We are currently hiring out of our Downers Grove, IL or Cherry Hill, NJ office locations, however, this role may be eligible for voluntary work-from-home consideration. In order to be considered for this position, you should live within a commutable distance to this office location, even if you plan to request a work-from-home arrangement, as there may be times when in-person meetings, training sessions, social events, or similar activities are held onsite.

As a Manager, Accounts Payable Operations you’ll be responsible for: 

Operations 

  • Support the day-to-day management and assignment of accounts payable team leads and analysts to support workload across customers and optimize performance.  
  • Lead the performance management and professional development of your team aligned with Corcentric’s core values fostering career path growth. 
  • Understand performance expectations and SLAs for multiple customers and work to normalize, report, and manage internal performance expectations and support customer program reporting.  
  • Be accountable for the creation and maintenance of process documentation for each customer to make onboarding new team members rapid and thorough. 
  • Manage and resolve escalated issues or disputes with clients or vendors, including effective communication, conflict resolution, and finding mutually beneficial solutions. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs. 
  • Develop internal programs that promote continuous improvement for the company. 
  • Develop insights and present recommendations through review of weekly/monthly reports and trends. This may involve implementing new software features, adopting best practices, or introducing process automation solutions.  

Managed Services 

  • Develop a deep understanding of your assigned customer’s business and processes. 
  • Define success in terms of your customer’s point of view and drive customer satisfaction. 
  • Key point of contact for Managed Service customers for operational aspects of the relationship.  
  • Be an active participant during new customer implementations through the go-live, reviewing scope, creating process and procedure documentation, making staffing recommendations, overseeing training of new team members, and supporting user acceptance testing. 
  • Coordinate with supplier onboarding, procurement and internal team where services relate to the Corcentric invoice and payment processes and solutions. 
  • Review exception trends and develop root cause analysis for exceptions and recommend process improvement and areas for automation.  
  • Generate comprehensive performance reports for clients, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and areas for improvement to facilitate data-driven decision-making and foster transparency. 

Requirements

You’ll need to have: 

  • 6+ years’ experience in accounts payable function utilizing technology for invoice and PO management.  
  • Deep understanding of accounts payable processes.  
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.  
  • Operational experience managing to goals and services levels.  
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data to drive insights and decisions with a keen attention to detail.  
  • Forward thinking, looking to innovate and improve processes.  
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills.   
  • Ability to exhibit composure, patience and confidence when facing difficult situations.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, understand their specific needs and requirements, and provide exceptional customer service. This includes addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring client satisfaction with accounts payable processes.  
  • Comfort with learning and utilizing new software tools and technologies related to accounts payable management, such as automation solutions, electronic invoicing systems, or data analytics platforms.  
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills   
  • Strong project management skills to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments across different clients.  
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and provide insights or recommendations for process improvements or cost-saving opportunities for clients.

It’s great if you also have: 

  • Experience as part of a team deploying or going live with a procure to pay platform; involved in user case testing and procedure documentation.  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.  
  • Experience with procure to pay systems for management of PO and non-PO invoices  
  • Ability to optimize service delivery processes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and improve overall service quality for clients.
