The Logistics Manager at The Willows Communications is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of the logistics operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and to the highest quality standards, managing a team of logistics professionals while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements logistics strategies to optimize the movement of goods and enhance distribution efficiency.
  • Manages logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Collaborates with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Monitors logistics performance metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and streamline operations.
  • Leads and mentors the logistics team, providing guidance and fostering professional development opportunities.
  • Prepares and manages logistics budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and cost control.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all logistics processes.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between logistics activities and business objectives.
  • Develops contingency plans to address potential issues in logistics operations, proactively managing risk.
  • Prepares reports and presentations for senior management on logistics performance and strategic recommendations.

As a key player in The Willows Communications’ operational success, the Logistics Manager helps to deliver seamless supply chain solutions that meet customer demands.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Comprehensive understanding of logistics processes, transportation, and inventory management practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
    • Proficient in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
    • Strong organizational skills, with an attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
    • Experience with budget management and cost control in a logistics context.
    • Knowledge of sustainability practices in logistics operations is a plus.
    • Professional certifications related to logistics (e.g., APICS, CLTD) are preferred.
