Licensed Practical Nurse

JOB TITLE (#25001): Licensed Practical Nurse/ Skilled Nursing Facility- Jersey City, NJ

Minimum of 1 year experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to fill an opening with a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Jersey City, NJ

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Monitor patients throughout their treatment.
• Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs.
• Ensure that patients take their medication.
• Assist doctors and registered nurses.
• Liaise with patients' families.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing

• Must have an active New Jersey State license
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in rehabilitative or geriatric
• Must be able to withstand strenuous physical activity
• Must possess manual dexterity to handle instruments and equipment and visual and aural acuity to detect changes in residents’ conditions
• Must possess understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with infirm, chronic, or acutely ill residents, their families, and visitors
• Must have the ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
• Must have general knowledge of personnel policies and procedures and an understanding of supervisory responsibilities
• Must have the ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions as necessary
• Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in the English language, which may be of a technical nature

Benefits

• The salary for this position is $40 / hr

• The is a Full-time or Per Diem position
