Home Health RN

Our client is seeking a full-time Home Health RN to provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Union County, NJ area. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health care, and will be committed to maintaining patient safety while providing effective communication and collaboration with healthcare providers, third parties, patients, and families.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct or indirect skilled comprehensive nursing care to a specified (or variety) of age and diagnostic groups

- Utilize principles of the nursing process to assist in data collection, planning, and evaluation of nursing care

- Demonstrate nursing knowledge and skills in the implementation of prevention, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care

- Utilize effective interviewing techniques; sets limits, and collects data based on specific role

- Communicate and collaborate effectively with health care providers, third parties, patients, and families based on specific role

- Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients

- Observe patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents

- Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol

- Use oral and written communications to convey pertinent information to members of the healthcare team in a timely manner

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Active RN license in the state of New Jersey

- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in home health care

- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

- Ability to work 8:30a-4:30p, 1 weekend per month, and including working one summer and one winter holiday
