As the Health Economics and Outcomes Research Manager you will drive the global health economic and outcomes research strategy for OrganOx through the metra® lifecycle, with an emphasis on addressing the evidentiary needs of our operations, to demonstrate product value thereby strengthening commercialization activities for inline, launch and pipeline products. Lead the development of health economic and patient-reported outcomes evidence. Proactively partner with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure that the available clinical evidence is optimized for market access. Continually innovate with the affiliate-based HEOR community and external HEOR advisors (KOLs) to document product value. Apply new, innovative, scientific HEOR evidence methods to strengthen data demonstrating value of OrganOx’s products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and manage health economics and outcomes research activities, partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to develop HEOR to support the market adoption of key products and advance understanding of specific disease areas.
  • Lead the development of HEOR projects, including developing research protocols, selecting appropriate statistical methodologies, conducting data analyses using statistical analysis software, recruiting and managing external investigators where necessary, interpreting the study results, and communicating key findings to senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute HEOR to develop evidence to demonstrate the economic value of our products through economic evaluation (budget impact models/analyses, cost-effectiveness analyses, cost-utility analysis), retrospective claims database analyses, burden of illness analyses, decision modelling, patient reported outcomes and survey research, clinician-focused research including time/motion or patient care pathway research and evidence synthesis (targeted literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, clinical and economic dossiers for submission to health authorities, technology assessment boards, and payers).
  • Identify opportunities where HEOR can support challenges facing emerging technologies and commercially marketed products and communicate business impact to senior management.
  • Work with new product development teams to ensure HEOR needs are incorporated into product development, clinical evidence plans, and timelines.
  • Author and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings and their importance at HEOR and clinical conferences and meetings.
  • Build relationships with clinical and administrative key opinion leaders in transplant medicine and related disciplines across the health care industry.
  • Provide HEOR-related training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, legal and senior leadership to increase awareness and understanding of HEOR competency and its role in supporting market adoption of products and therapies.
  • Proactively manage the economic and clinical value of OrganOx’s technologies and solutions through longitudinal review of care leveraging real world (claims) data and disease areas (burden of illness).
  • Adhere to the spirit and letter of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
