About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Gourmet/Deli Team Member - Part-Time to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn about gourmet foods, develop product expertise, and provide exceptional customer service in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement:

• Assist customers in selecting and pairing cheeses with wine, beer, and spirits, offering thoughtful recommendations.
• Provide expert guidance on gourmet items and help curate gift baskets to meet customer needs.
• Actively engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay up-to-date on gourmet food trends and new product offerings to better assist customers.
• Continuously build your knowledge of cheeses, gourmet items, and pairing suggestions.

Stock Management:

• Ensure proper rotation of products, remove expired items, and maintain well-stocked, attractive displays.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure shelves are neat and organized.

Department Oversight:

• Manage daily ordering needs, departmental cleanliness, and organization.

Compliance & Safety:

• Adhere to Department of Health standards, use slicers safely, prevent cross-contamination, and maintain sanitized surfaces.

Requirements

• Passion for Food: Share our love for gourmet items and specialty groceries.

• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as required.
• Basic Computer Skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
