We, Global Life Science Hub, are working with an innovative global biopharmaceutical company to recruit a skilled Equipment Mechanic for their New Jersey manufacturing site. This facility is a key location for the company’s production of advanced therapies, and they are seeking a proactive individual to help maintain the highest operational standards.
Role Overview:
As an Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and peak efficiency. Your expertise will directly support the manufacturing of high-quality biopharmaceutical products in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of production equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and specialized biomanufacturing machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain production flow and avoid disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support equipment needs and identify improvements.
- Document all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance, recommending upgrades or modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as an Equipment Mechanic in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated production environment.
- Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, especially within regulated manufacturing settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
