Full Job Description

Samsung SDS America is looking for an experienced EDI Developer to join our EDI team. This role will be responsible for designing workflows, EDI/XML mapping, developing APIs, and programming to support our EDI systems and integration processes. This role will cover the entire development lifecycle, such as gathering and analysis, coding, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with TIE Kinetic eVision, spMap, TIE Integrator, and SmartBridge, as well as expertise in EDI standards, protocols, and transactions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position (3 days office/2 days remote) at our regional headquarters in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EDI workflows, mappings, and APIs to support integration processes and data exchange
  • Work closely with internal stakeholder and customers to gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, and address technical challenges
  • Engage with customers to understand their EDI needs, provide technical support, and ensure successful implementation and integration
  • Analyze EDI standards and transactions, including X.12 (210, 214, 810, 820, 830, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 865, 867, 870, 990, 997) and corresponding UN/EDIFACT messages
  • Implement AS2 protocol and ensure compliance with HTTP/HTTPS protocol, Private/Public Key Algorithm, Digital Signature, and Encryption/Decryption of data
  • Leverage APIs, XML, and JSON, for EDI implementation and integration with external systems and platforms
  • Apply knowledge of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and eCommerce business models to design and implement EDI solutions tailored to specific business requirements
  • Integrate EDI systems with ERP applications, with a focus on SAP integration and customization
  • Utilize database servers such as Oracle and MS-SQL for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation
  • Work across multiple operating systems, including Windows and UNIX platforms, to deploy and maintain EDI systems and applications
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and documentation requirements throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in EDI system development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of EDI standards and transactions, including X.12 and UN/EDIFACT messages
  • Experience implementing AS2 protocol and familiarity with related protocols and security mechanisms
  • Proficiency in EDI implementation leveraging APIs, XML, and JSON for seamless integration
  • Hands-on experience with ERP applications, particularly SAP, for EDI integration and customization
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, including Windows and UNIX platforms
  • Able and willing to commute to the office in Ridgefield Park, NJ 5 days per week
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and eCommerce business models and their EDI requirements
  • Experience with database servers such as Oracle and MS-SQL, including database design and optimization
