POSITION SUMMARY:
As Intercept continues to build its position as the leader in rare and serious liver disease, we are seeking a Director, Access Marketing. As a key member of the U.S. Marketing team, the Director of Access Marketing will be responsible for translating brand strategy into meaningful and compelling payer and patient services collateral. This individual is responsible for implementing the U.S. Market Access value platform and support materials that assists the U.S. Market Access team in gaining positive coverage criteria and formulary acceptance with payers. This position will also be responsible for developing patient services material used by our hub and specialty pharmacies in addition to pull-through collateral to be used by the Sales, Field Access and Channel teams. This position will work closely with Market research and medical research to align, gain and share customer insights in the development of customer programs to strengthen and expand the value proposition to drive growth and ensure optimal access. This position will ensure cross-functional alignment between U.S. Marketing, U.S. Market Access, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Regulatory. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Market Access.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Translate brand strategy to all components of the access journey – from payer materials to FRM collateral to promotional messaging to be delivered by field sales force
• Scope, develop and execute promotional marketing initiatives to reinforce ICPT product’s value proposition to managed care customers (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DOD), SPPs, SDs and IDNs
• Scope, develop and execute pull-through collateral to educate HCPs and office staff on access and reimbursement process for Intercept’s products
• Collaborate with Training team to develop and execute appropriate training programs to ensure field teams can utilize and execute resources
• Partner with FRM leadership in development of collateral needed by FRM team to educate HCP offices and staff
• Perform primary and secondary research on access value proposition and messaging
• Manage agencies to deliver tools/tactics to ensure quality resources are delivered on time and within budget
• Work with LMRC to guarantee tools/tactics are compliantly developed and executed
• Develop innovative approaches to obtain and leverage access data to drive access strategies and tactics for the field teams, specifically field sales and FRMs
• Manage Intercept’s strategy and tactics for managed care meetings/conventions
• Support development of brand plan from an access perspective
• Manage the promotional budget for Access Marketing
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree highly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in Marketing, with at least 5 years of experience across the access marketing spectrum – payer to reimbursement
• Specialty product experience, specifically reimbursement and PSP
• Career path that exhibits increased responsibility and leadership
• Ideally has prior therapeutic experience in liver and rare disease

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $222,480 to $267,000. This represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, skillset, and performance.
