Co-Occurring Clinician - SOS Program

The Street Outreach Services (SOS) Program is a community outreach and engagement program designed to assist adult community members experiencing mental health, substance use and co-occurring issues who struggle to engage in treatment in traditional treatment settings. The SOS team will work to provide engagement, assist with identifying SDOH’s, barriers to care and assist enrolled participants in achieving their identified needs and treatment goals. All program staff will work from a Trauma Informed Care and Harm Reduction approach. The goal of the team is to work to reduce barriers to care. The team will conduct most of their services within the community, and collaborate with other community service providers to coordinate care and services.

Position Title: SOS Clinician
Position Type: Full Time; 35/weekly; some weekends and evenings required

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities:

• Team oversight including supervision of case managers and clinicians
• Oversight of program services
• Provide case management services to assigned caseload
• Provide clinical services as needed
• Provide outreach and in-community services
• Complete NJSAMs and clinical assessments/intakes as needed
• Collect, analyze and report data to agency administration
• Participate in team meetings
• Collaborate with agency programs and staff

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling
• NJ LSW/LAC or LCSW/LPC and CADC or LCADC preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with co-occurring populations
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using motivational interviewing and the harm reduction approach
• Experience with community outreach and engagement
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with less than six (6) points
• Knowledge of available services and resources for those seeking SUD treatment and are in need of support services
