Full Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and experienced client care coordinator for a busy and fast-growing, multi-clinician, psychotherapy practice.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of highly responsible administrative, medical billing, and patient-care experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Responsibilities

This position is perfect for a social work, counseling, or psychology student.

  • Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments and procedures.
  • Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
  • Maintain and facilitate patient scheduling.
  • General office management tasks, including routing of phone calls to clinicians, sorting mail, keeping up office supplies and equipment
  • Other duties deemed necessary by the office manager

Requirements

  • Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
  • Must be available on weeknights and Saturdays.
  • A calm manner and patience working with either patients or insurers during this process.
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and other payer requirements and systems.
  • Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and independent
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to confidential matters
  • Flexible schedule and mentality
  • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
  • Promote a professional and pleasant environment
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and to maintain flexibility in response to constantly changing demands, proficiency in G-Suite, EHR, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Spanish speaking preferred
