About the Role
The Casino Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Casino Accounting staff, executing slot audit, reviewing revenue reconciliation for gaming departments to determine gaming handle, wins and other statistical data.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversees the Casino Accounting staff in the absence of the Manager of Casino Accounting.
- Executes the slot Audit completely and updates all related documents and spreadsheets.
- Review revenue reconciliation for gaming Departments for determining gaming handle, win and other statistical data.
- Examine propriety of detail transaction reports and supporting documents, noting exceptions for further review
- Maintain sensitive document records to include control of receipt, issuance, and usage and on-hand inventory.
- Review daily revenue journal entries for posting.
- Verifies cash accountabilities prepared by cashiering functions ensuring their accuracy and that changes are properly authorized and supported by adequate documentation.
- Calculates tax payments based on prior gaming activity.
- Responsible for organization and filing of documents to be scanned or sent for record retention.
- Assists, monitors, and reviews daily audit of the following areas including but not limited to: Cage, Slots, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, and Tax Submissions.
- Improves staff effectiveness by: coaching, counseling, training also recommending disciplinary action for team members; and planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. A combination of education and a minimum of 2 years prior work experience in the field acceptable.
- Responsible for the accurate review and approval of casino revenue statistics and examination of detail revenue transaction records for the preparation of the Daily Operating Report.
- Reviews and approves worksheets and/or reports in summarizing and classifying revenue transactions for recording in the General Ledger.

- Must be fluent in Excel and PC applications and able to prepare and analyze spreadsheets.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills.
