The Business Analyst III oversees medium to large projects, or in some cases multiple small to medium projects, typically at the Division level. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare and present reports for senior management and steering committees regarding the status and health of the project(s).

The successful candidate will work directly with Division-level, and in some cases Group level management to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments (e.g. Shared Services functions) to ensure all aspects of each project are aligned to the appropriate functional strategy.

The Business Analyst is Responsible for analyzing business problems to be solved with IT solutions.  Captures functional business requirements by gathering, analyzing and documenting requirements. Acts as a liaison with systems analysts and developers. Reports directly to either an IT Program Manager, or the IT Pharma Director depending on size and complexity of the project(s) being managed.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, creating detailed functional designs.

Collaborate with relevant system enhancement and support teams to facilitate development.

Execute testing, provide functional assistance to end-users, and offer ongoing support.

Take the lead and provide direction to others.

Demonstrate a high level of creativity and a self-starting mindset

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of work experience in healthcare, such as Biotech, Pharma, Medical Equipment, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and Group or Global IT partners
  • Deliver presentations to senior business or IT leadership
  • Assist with budget proposals
  • Lead training sessions on new processes or functionality
  • Focus on process efficiency by accurately following standard operating procedures or identifying opportunities for automation and optimization
  • Familiarity with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as GxP and Systems Validation
  • Demonstrate creativity and a self-starting mindset
  • Rely on limited experience and judgment to set and achieve goals
