The Associate Director/Director, Data Strategy and Insights will be responsible for executing commercial data strategy that will enable data-driven actionable insights from advanced analytics. This individual will drive critical business decisions and inform company strategy through insightful analysis and external/industry experience.
The position will be based in Princeton, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on expertise and works collaboratively to design, execute and oversee all commercial analytical deliverables related to launch and pipeline products, including identifying appropriate data sets and methodologies to conduct analysis plus synthesis & presentation of final output and conclusion.
- Partner with Global IT in managing data integration efforts, including the consolidation of data from various sources (SPs, HUB, Data aggregator etc.) and work to create a single source of truth for critical business data.
- Support the commercial business functions in identification and value realization from innovative solutions e.g., Data Analytics, AI / ML, Digitization, Cloud, IoT etc. - to improve customer / patient experience, business performance and process efficiency or effectiveness.
- In partnership with Global IT, manage the planning, implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of the Commercial analytics and insights dashboards, including metrics and KPI development.
- Collaborate with cross functional commercial colleagues to provide insightful and compliant insights on both pre-determined needs and proactively identifying emerging needs and opportunities.
- Apply appropriate statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, or predictive models to evaluate hypotheses, uncover insights, and address specific business questions
- Interpret findings in the context of business problems and assess their implications. Analyze the outcomes of the data analytics to derive insights leading to concrete actions or decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest data analytics tools, techniques, and industry trends. Integrating new methodologies to enhance existing processes and continuously improving the quality of insights derived from data.
- Defines data governance structure and ensures compliance with standards and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years pharmaceutical healthcare analytics experience
- Solid understanding of commercial business and industry standard data – script (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.), Patient (Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors), Managed Care (Symphony, MMIT, etc.), and wholesaler/distribution data (EDI 852, 867, etc.)
- Awareness of potential biases from each database and how that may impact analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics approaches and methodologies and best practices of leveraging data to drive informative decisions.
- Proficiency in using advanced analytics to drive business value including ROI/value assessment, digital KPI tracking, campaign measurement, etc.
- Experience in Specialty or Rare Disease, preferred.
- Proven history of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities required.
- Understands industry compliance, security, and privacy regulations, GDPR, internal/external Audits and CAPA management.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required. Tableau preferred
- Self-starter, proactive in nature, actively participates and self-motivated.
- Strong collaborator with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to understand and influence decisions.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally.
