We'd love to show you what it's like to work here. If selected for an interview, you'll see the surgery center and our people in action. This position will remain posted until filled.
You would be providing help to recovering patient and their families. You will be working closely with the assigned RN and helping to ensure the patient receives necessary care afer surgery. We want our patients to get back to moving the way they want to be moving, and the surgery is a major part of that! You would play a role in improving their lives each day. Develop strong relationships with our surgeons and medical providers and find your people here at ROC.
ROC is expanding with two more operating suites opening the beginning of 2025 as we welcome seven new surgeons to our team. Join our team to be part of the growth and excitement!
What would you do as a Patient Care Technician?
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting nursing staff with basic care and assisting patients and their families through the surgical process in a manner that places emphasis on quality patient care. You can expect to regularly:
- Serve as a personal contact, provide support and help to alleviate stress for families of surgical patients during the perioperative period;
- Track the patient’s surgical journey and alert patient’s family of their status as applicable;
- Observe patient’s condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the assigned RN or a supervisor;
- Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed;
- Follow emergency procedures including use of CPR if necessary;
- Escort patients out of the building following discharge;
- Stock department equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Certifications/Education
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Experience
- Performing customer service duties.
