SchoolOps has worked across multiple states to bring together communities of operations learners and provide them with national best practices, a resource library of tools and templates, and guided discussions to solve problems together. The Role

SchoolOps is looking for a charter school Operations Leader who has experience coaching others in the Operations Leader role (DOOs, DSOs, APOs, etc.). The role involves preparing for and executing monthly coaching sessions with 10-15 Nevada Operations Leader Fellows. Additionally, the Operations Leader Coach will coordinate with their supervisors and monitor their Individualized Learning Plans to ensure that each Fellow is moving forward in their professional development.

The Operations Leader Coach will need to commit to 5-10 hours of availability per week from approximately November 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. Much of this work will occur during working hours Pacific Standard Time. Additional SchoolOps coaching opportunities on other projects may be available for a contractor who is interested in a larger scope of contract work.

This is a contracted 1099 role that is not full time and does not provide benefits.

Location

This is a predominantly remote role, which may include a few onsite days of travel to Nevada throughout the year.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and hold regularly scheduled monthly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with 10-15 Operations Leader Fellows, who are located in Nevada.
  • Connect Fellows to tools, templates, and other resources in the SchoolOps Resource Library that will support their development.
  • Work with the SchoolOps team to identify opportunities to have subject-matter experts lead specialized coaching sessions, or create specialized resources to meet a need that arises in coaching sessions.
  • Regularly update the supervisors of our Fellows on their progress towards their Operations Leader Competencies.
  • Work closely with the SchoolOps team to measure impact, and provide updates on the effectiveness of the program to our partners.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a school, CMO, or district-level operations leadership role.
  • Though not mandatory, we will prioritize candidates who have experience coaching charter employees in a Director of Operations, Director of School Operations, Assistant Principal of Operations, or other operations leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the importance of anti-racist and inclusion-centered practices in education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to give and receive frequent feedback
  • Highly organized and details oriented

The candidate should have a relatively strong understanding of our two primary areas of coaching: School Operations and Organizational Management. The candidate does not need to be an expert in all of the skills listed below, but should have direct experience with a majority of these topics.

Benefits

This is a contracted 1099 role that is not full time and does not provide benefits.

Compensation

Applicants will be offered an hourly rate between $110-$125 depending on their experience
