Full Job Description
Do you have an interest in orthopedic surgery? Love the hustle and bustle of the operating room? Join ROC as an Operating Room Orderly! We'd love to show you what it's like to work here. If selected for an interview, you'll see the surgery center and our people in action. This position will remain posted until filled.
You would be responsible for assisting with patients and keeping the operating rooms and surgery center clean, organized, and stocked. We want our patients to get back to moving the way they want to be moving, and the surgery is a major part of that! You would play a role in improving their lives each day. Develop strong relationships with our surgeons and medical providers and find your people here at ROC.
ROC is expanding with two more operating suites opening the beginning of 2025 as we welcome seven new surgeons to our team. Join our team to be part of the growth and excitement!
What would you do as an Operating Room Orderly?
This position focuses its time and effort on the following duties, though others may be required:
- Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher, stretcher to OR table, etc.
- Assist with Operating Room turnovers including sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting and gathering linens and other surgical equipment;
- Scrub into total joint surgeries and hold limbs as needed;
- Ensure OR is properly stocked with materials and equipment;
- Ensure equipment rooms are organized and stocked;
- Assist central sterile processing
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:
Education/Certifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?
If you have these preferred qualifications, you would be an ideal candidate, though they aren’t necessary to be successful:
- Experience working as a Nursing Assistant or Orderly
