Full Job Description
Do you have an interest in the medical field? Love documentation and helping people? Like the hustle and bustle of a busy clinic? Join ROC as a Medical Scribe! This position will remain posted until filled.
You would be directly updating patient's electronic records and ensuring their history is correct. You could help our patients, providers, and your colleagues through your work. Your attention to detail will allow for the correct information to provided to the clinical team. You are essential to facilitating detailed and precise patient electronic records.
ROC is expanding with two more operating suites opening the beginning of 2025 as we welcome seven new surgeons to our team. Join our team to be part of the growth and excitement!
What would you do as a Medical Scribe?
The Medical Scribe is responsible for working with our doctors to ensure accurate patient records. You can expect to regularly:
- Transcribe the patient’s history, physical exam findings, consultations, labs, X-rays, and other evaluations into the electronic medical record with accuracy and efficiency during patient visit;
- Rectify mistakes or inconsistencies in patient’s electronic medical record;
- Input accurate charges into patient’s electronic medical record;
- Ensure the presence of medical scribe in patient exam room does not detract from provider’s treatment of patient.
Requirements
Certifications/Educations:
- High School Diploma
Knowledge of:
- Human anatomy and terminology;
- HIPAA regulations and procedures;
Experience:
- Communicating effectively in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?
- Experience using electronic medical records systems such as Epic.
