Full Job Description

Join our award-winning property management company, recognized as the Property Management Company of the Year by the Apartment Association of Nebraska. As we expand our presence in the local market and beyond, we are seeking talented Senior Accountants to join our dynamic team at our Corporate office in Omaha, NE. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Spearhead excellence in accounting transactions for premier properties in the area. 
  • Assist in annual recovery reconciliations and tenant billings estimation. 
  • Maintain cash balances per client requirements and handle transfer and funding requests. 
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts with supporting schedules. 
  • Ensure approval and processing of monthly recurring payments for mortgages, insurance, and miscellaneous expenses. 
  • Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process. 
  • Provide preliminary and final financial reports to tax accountants, accompanied by supporting documentation. 
  • Review bank reconciliations, journal entries, and other transactions prepared by staff accountants. 
  • Coordinate the reporting and collection of bad debt. 
  • Determine and approve owner distributions and contributions. 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory. 
  • Preferably three or more years of experience in accounting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level. 
  • Familiarity with Yardi is advantageous.
