Tred-Mark Communications seeking several Lead Cable Installation Technicians. Looking for a reliable technician with diverse knowledge of the telecommunications cabling industry.

The Lead Cable Installation Technician will install cabling for network, telecommunications and security systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintains a positive attitude with the team.
  • Able to supervise and efficiently layout daily activities for teams of technicians in the completion of job task assignments.
  • Must understand various cable types, how to install (or be able to learn) their termination and testing.
  • Motivated, good technical and mechanical skills and the desire to learn.
  • Able to consistently complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Time tracking and submittal for all technicians assigned to the project.
  • Job site safety paperwork. Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist in training new technicians and entry-level technicians on proper infrastructure installation techniques.
  • Project Change Orders as required.
  • Working with onsite customers and other trades.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • low voltage installation: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience.
  • Ability to read general system layouts from blueprints and maps.
  • Experience running and managing cabling projects, including directly managing a crew.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and clean background check including E-Verify.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certificate from college, technical school, or equivalent related work experience
  • Basic networking and technology certifications a plus (RCCD, BICSI, NEC, CompTIA A+, Network+, OSHA Certifications, Manufacturer certifications).
  • Multiple termination types for multimode and single mode fibers.
  • Cat5E through Cat6A data cabling.
  • Cable pathways: Conduit, Cable Tray, Fire Penetrations.
