Crown Recruiting seeks a Grain Merchandiser to join the team of a renowned ag cooperative in the Wayne, NE area. The Grain Merchandiser is key in the agricultural commodities market, handling sourcing, trading, & managing grain movements. You'll build & maintain customer relationships, analyze market trends, & optimize profitability. The company provides competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market analysis & utilize data for informed, optimal grain trading decisions
• Collaborate with suppliers for competitive grain sourcing & monitor the competitiveness of cash grain bids
• Update grain bids on various platforms & provide reports
• Develop risk management strategies for financial stability
• Manage inventory, procure grain supplies, & coordinate supply chain operations
• Build & maintain customer relationships & manage customer database
• Stay updated on industry regulations & compliance
• Initiate contracts, hedge purchases, & maintain records; ensure compliance
• Maximize customer profitability & optimize resource use

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, business, finance, marketing, or related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data & trends
• 3-5 years of trading experience preferred
• Proficient in using trading platforms, market analysis tools, & software
• Knowledgeable in fundamental & technical market drivers, options strategies, & persuasive business communication
• Sales & customer relations background, ability to build strong customer relationships, & manage a sales territory
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication, & negotiation skills
• Proven success in managing long-term customer relationships
