Contracts Intern 

The Contracts Intern reports to the Contract Manager and will assist our contracts team with managing and maintaining contracts. This role provides valuable experience in contract management, legal documentation, and business operations along with being a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in contract management and support the smooth operation of a business's legal processes.

Requirements

Major Position Responsibilities 

  • Manage contract team email communications. 
  • Maintain and organize legal filing systems and contract databases. 
  • Resolve contract-related queries and issues. 
  • Analyze State requirements and submit government license applications/renewals. 
  • Track registrations, certifications and licenses. 
  • Respond to requests for Certificates of Insurance and vendor information. 
  • Support the assignment of contracts process. 
  • Support RFPs (Request for Proposal) and gather necessary documentation and signatures. 
  • Perform administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and report generation. 
  • Perform additional tasks as needed. 
     

Required Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience  

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Law, or a related field. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Interest in legal, business, or contract management. 
  • Highly organized, handle pressure well and understand important deadlines   
  • Able to work productively independently and as part of a team 
  • Highly trustworthy and use good judgement 
  • High level of accountability and responsibility 
  • Excellent reading and language comprehension 
  • Strong verbal, writing, and computer skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to notice errors 

 

Work Schedule 

  • Hour requirement is 20-28 hours per week. 
  • In-office with flexibility to work from home with manager approval.
