Boom Truck Operator

American Concrete Products is a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Boom Truck Operator to join our team.

This position is responsible for the safe and secure, transporting and unloading of concrete products as directed by the Transportation Manager/Dispatcher.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload concrete products by using various types of truck-mounted boom lifts.
• Safely secure loads to be hauled as necessary by using straps, chains and bracing.
• Ability to hear, read and follow safety, delivery, and map instructions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate delivery paperwork and Department of Transportation (DOT) records.
• Perform daily pre-and post-trip safety checks on truck and equipment.
• Document and notify Transportation Manager/Dispatcher of any vehicle or equipment maintenance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers about safety, delivery or product issues.
• Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Occasionally operate a forklift to perform self-loading or load rearranging activities

Requirements

• Current & Valid DOT CDL Class A or B w/ Medical Card
• Clean Driving Record
• Verifiable Safety Record
• Insurable for Commercial Driving
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous boom truck operation experience
• Ability to complete company safety training within 30 days of employment
• Articulating Boom Crane certification a plus: certification will be required by fall 2018.
