SALT Dental Collective is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Brewer Dental Center.
If you are an Orthodontic Assistant looking for a patient-centered practice, look no further than Brewer Dental Center in Billings, MT! We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who is RHS (x-ray) certified to join our thriving practice. Positions are available at the Heights locations.
Must be able to assist dentist with an array of procedures and take quality radiographs, prepare patients for procedures or exams, sterilize and disinfecting instruments, set up instrument trays, preparing materials for procedures. They also provide patient and practice support services in addition to these duties.
Responsiblities:
- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing materials, and providing chairside assistance
- Provide support to patients, ensuring their comfort and answering any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary
- Perform basic dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Utilize CAD technology to assist with the creation of orthodontic appliances
- Take and record vital signs of patients as directed by the orthodontist
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience preferred and/or open to new graduates
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
- Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray) required
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desired
- Proficiency in using CAD software for orthodontic procedures is a plus
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with medical imaging and dental receptionist duties is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- X-Ray certification required
Pay ranges are from $19.00 - $21.00/hour
