The Role:

Brado is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tier 1 IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. Our Support Specialist will be responsible for providing efficient, front line tech support, streamlining new employee setups, optimizing system configurations, managing Windows testing and updates, supporting IT initiatives, and contributing to ISO/SOC 2 certification compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring a robust and secure IT infrastructure while actively participating in organizational IT projects. 

While the day to day work for this role may be done remotely, qualified candidates will live near our St. Louis, MO collaboration center. This role will come into the office for team meetings and to provide on-site tech support for larger company gatherings as needed. Candidates should expect to be in the office 2-3 days each week.

What you can expect in a Tier 1 Support Specialist Role at Brado:

Tech Support: 

  • Promptly address and resolve Tier 1 tech support issues. 
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 support for more complex problems. 
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.

New Employee Setups: 

  • Configure workstations, email accounts, and access permissions for new hires. 
  • Provide orientation on IT policies and procedures.  

Configurations: 

  • Regularly assess and optimize system configurations for improved performance. 
  • Implement updates and patches to enhance security and stability. 

 Windows Testing and Updates: 

  • Manage and oversee the testing and deployment of Windows updates. 
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to minimize disruptions during updates. 

Supporting IT Initiatives: 

  • Actively participate in IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Proven experience in IT support roles, with a focus on Tier 1 support. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware configurations, and troubleshooting techniques. 
  • Working knowledge of Intune or Endpoint Management 
  • Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices. 
  • General understanding of macOS 
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. 
  • Experience in managing Windows testing and updates is a plus. 
  • Ability to contribute effectively to IT initiatives and work collaboratively in a team environment.
