Operation Room Technician

NCG Associates is a leading healthcare staffing agency that is committed to providing exceptional services to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Operation Room Technician to join our team. As an Operation Room Technician at NCG Associates, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
• Pass surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon during procedures
• Maintain a sterile and organized environment in the operating room
• Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment
• Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a surgical technician program or equivalent training
• 2 year as a ORT/CST in Ortho; Additional; Our main service lines are orthopedics, general surgery, GYN surgery, podiatry, and robotic surgery (general & GYN). Must have daVinci experience if working 10s or 12s. -please note if candidate has daVinici experience or not when submitting
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Understanding of sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Assignment Location: Kansas city, MO

Pay Rate: $1,710 - $1,900

Class/Area: ORT/ OR

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Hours per Week: 36-40

Shift and Time: Varied

Schedule Details: All shifts, 10s, 12s or a combination of two 8s and two 12s

Weekend Rotation: None

On-call Requirements: None

Holidays Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: within OR

Experience Required: 2 year as a ORT/CST in Ortho; Additional; Our main service lines are orthopedics, general surgery, GYN surgery, podiatry, and robotic surgery (general & GYN). Must have daVinci experience if working 10s or 12s. -please note if candidate has daVinici experience or not when submitting

Experience Preferred: experience with Cerner.

License Required: Diploma from accredited school

Certificates Required: AHA BLS
