Full Job Description
Car Wash Technicians are responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of automatic and self-serve car wash systems, ancillary products and chemicals. The drives are on established routes within our operating region to deliver chemicals. This position plays a key role in advising customers on how to make changes to boost performance of their equipment, to improve reliability, increase wash volume and revenue, and reduce customer costs. The Field Service Technician must assume the responsibilities listed below in the assigned territory and perform them with minimal supervision and coaching. This position has typical business hours with minimal on-call. It is preferred but not a requirement to have a Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsements, we are able to train in-house.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot chemical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic equipment, PLC controllers and supplies
Perform diagnostic analysis
Record deliveries information on daily Bills of Lading. Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Must maintain a high level of safety in terms of driving, scheduling, timeliness of deliveries and safety of delivery
May assist in the installation of new car wash equipment
Perform periodic scheduled and corrective maintenance of installed equipment in an assigned territory.
Repair and correct malfunctions as necessary
Modify or update equipment when required.
Responsible for spill prevention and clean up.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
Advise customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
Assure appropriate flow of information and reports clearly, concisely and accurately.
Requirements
Able to get a CDL with HAZMAT endorsements, must have an excellent driving record
D.O.T. regulations knowledge preferred.
Technical knowledge
3 to 5 years related experience preferred
Requires 2 years of trade school or equivalent in-field experience
Understanding of PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and 3-phase power
Lifting requirements 25 lbs. to a maximum of 100 lbs.
Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
Excellent employee and customer relations skills
Communication skills
Experience with car wash equipment a plus
