Maintenance

Pelican Ice/Bay Ice is at the forefront of the ice production industry, known for our commitment to quality and service. We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance professional to help us ensure our facility and equipment operate efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks that are vital to our operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment as necessary
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to minimize downtime

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
• Experience in maintenance or a related field
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
