Civil Estimator

1 Resource Group is looking for a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team in Philadelphia, MS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and construction estimating, with hands-on experience in evaluating costs and pricing for various civil projects. You will play a critical role in analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates that aid in decision-making for upcoming projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to determine the scope and requirements of civil projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Proactively seek quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to establish competitive pricing.
• Utilize construction estimating software for effective and efficient estimation processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate potential project risks related to costs.
• Present detailed estimates and reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Estimator or in a similar role.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and costing techniques.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
