Full Job Description
Norhart is driven by a simple purpose, to create a better way for us all to live. To fulfill that purpose, we need a fantastic team. As a Material Handler your objective will be to transform our materials inventory strategy within Norhart, specifically on the construction site.
You are responsible for receiving of all materials at our construction site. This includes, but is not limited to: specialty millwork, plumbing fixtures, lighting, furniture, building equipment, construction materials and construction finishes. You are the bridge that helps us achieve a seamless supply chain.
The ideal candidate must have strong ability to build relationships with global supply chain employees, local construction employees, and third-part logistic partners. Sound decision making and communication for when supplies need to arrive and where they should be stored is critical to the success of this role. We need someone who possesses a strong work ethic, an analytical mind, initiative, commitment to quality, strong organizational skills, computer skills, and an ability to execute a multitude of tasks.
Starting pay: 21/hr
Schedule: M to T- 6am to 4pm. Fridays for overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our internal U.S.-based Construction Trades as well as international suppliers to define, build, and establish a world-class inventory management process and system for receiving materials and loading materials into the construction build.
- Maintain solid communication and partnership with Construction Foreman to ensure a strong supply chain, scheduling materials to arrive just in time for installation
- Maintain product documentation including supplier, cost, specifications, and installation instructions
- Support on all aspects of inventory control
- Accurately receive incoming inventory
- Process material returns
- Solve complex problems by using abstract thinking and creative problem solving

Requirements
Required Skills:
- 6 months of experience in construction and/or building material industry
- Working knowledge of inventory control
- Must be organized, detailed oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Willing to take occasional calls during supplier's business hours
- Have superior analytical, influencing, and communication skills
