The Vice President of Consulting Services is a critical role responsible for overseeing all aspects of client engagement and the delivery of services, effectively serving as a bridge across our consultants, clients, and leadership team. The position requires a strategic and dynamic leader who excels in fostering strong client relationships, guiding our consulting team with a best practices mindset, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our team and clients. They will guide their team to consistently deliver the Pivot Experience, contribute to the overall growth and success of Pivot, and collaborate with our leadership team to shape Pivot's overall business strategy.
As a department leader, you will be responsible for setting and managing budgets, implementing and governing performance metrics, driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology, and ensuring accountability across your team.
The Vice President of Consulting Services is expected to:
Serve as a member of the Leadership Team:
- Partner to update and implement Pivot's overall business strategy.
- Develop and implement department strategies aligned with the company's vision. Create and monitor the governance framework, which will include metrics ensuring accountability for you and the collective team to meet and exceed client commitments.
- Establish methods and mechanisms to collaborate seamlessly across your peer group and implement solutions that align to company values and deliver upon Pivot's value proposition.
- Serve as primary voice for your functional area. This includes applicable understanding of issues, proposed options/risks/benefits, and solutions for moving forward. Responsible for effective troubleshooting and problem solving across your team to prevent unnecessary churn and delays with decision making.
Ensure excellence within our consulting services team:
- Enhance, communicate, and grow delivery of the Pivot Experience ensuring it is understood and followed consistently by all team members. Responsible for ongoing training to ensure the team fully embodies and delivers the Pivot Experience.
- Foster a continuous learning environment across the team. Create development plans aligned with company goals, as well as ensure the accumulation of knowledge related to industry trends, best practices and operational excellence.
- Develop processes that encourage sharing of knowledge and best practices across the team, enhancing our knowledge capital and services.
- Serve as a coach, advocate and resource for client leads and consultants. Oversee the professional development and growth of the team, aligning development plans with company goals, Conduct regular performance reviews providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Define and implement appropriate staffing strategies to maximize efficiencies, upscale talent, maintain company fiscal goals, and drive exceptional outcomes.
Ensure excellent client services:
- Serve as a strategic leader on key client accounts. You'll model excellent client service, savvy account management and relationship-building with clients to deliver exceptional outcomes and high client satisfaction.
- Leverage your experience and talents to position yourself as a valued resource for clients. You will bring a wealth of knowledge and capabilities to proactively assess challenges, develop and implement creative solutions, and ensure a "best in class" client experience. You'll lead by example and instill that same behavior with our consultant team.
- Driving business growth. You'll cultivate new opportunities with current clients, coach client leads and consultants to create and capture organic business and drive talent solutions to align with those needs.
- You'll participate in new client acquisition, attend business development events, pitch new clients, scope work, and network with your connections to build awareness and interest in working with Pivot.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, with responsibilities including setting and executing business strategy, defining and implementing staffing strategies, creating and deploying best practice frameworks, leading delivery organizations in a consulting or enterprise-level environment, and managing P&L.
- 5+ years of experience in professional communications. This could be a combination of any of the following: internal communications, change management, and organizational readiness.
- Must have excellent communication skills, ensuring clear, concise, and effective interactions with clients, team members, and the leadership team. This role requires the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies in a clear/concise manner, cultivate credible relationships and drive successful outcomes, and promote transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in managing and growing client accounts, ensuring that each client receives exceptional service and value. This involves buiding trust-based relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for expansion, and collaborating with business development teams to secure new deals. Your ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions will be critical in driving client satisfaction and long-term business growth.
- Experience with upper middle market and Fortune 500 companies. This should include successfully interacting and negotiating with C level and senior executive leadership.
- Ability to creatively solve issues related to people, clients, or both.
- An appetite for growing our desired culture through all levels of the organization.
- High acumen and learning agility for using technology and software in day-to-day business operations.

Location: This position is based in Edina, Minnesota at the Lifetime Works corporate office. While there is no requirement to work on-site every day, this role is part of the core leadership team, and members are typically on-site 3-4 days per week to build relationships and cohesive synergies.
