Schedule/Location:

  • Full Time, ~40 hours/week. Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7am-5pm
  • This is a hybrid role. The person in this position will have the opportunity to work in an office/remote hybrid role. On average, 40% of shifts are expected to be on-site. Access to reliable internet, ability to prioritize work independently, and foster relationships while working in a hybrid (remote and in-person) environment required. Must live in or have easy access to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be available for frequent face-to-face interactions in Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater Minnesota regions.
  • This role's main office will be split between our St. Paul and Golden Valley, MN locations.

Pay: $55,000-60,000, depending upon experience

Job Purpose: You are detail oriented and data-driven individual focused on using problem solving to optimize functions of vet center operations and increase the number of community members and pets served. You are adaptable to constant innovation and embrace a culture of improvement and growth. You support operations by creating staff schedules that effectively utilize staff and coordinate public veterinary services with staffing levels. You support financial and grant reporting through analysis and accurate data entry.

What you will be doing:

Support – Support the Vet Center team, consulting experts as needed. Perform daily and monthly data entry for financial reporting. Assist with monthly reporting such as clinic performance and online pharmacy use.

Collaboration – Work in partnership with internal teams including staff at both vet center locations, finance, shelter operations, and external teams including grant funders.

Strategy – Understand, improve, and develop smooth operational flow of clinic appointments and staff scheduling. Work both independently and collaboratively with others to identify areas of growth.

Communication – Distill and convey information in a clear, complete, and timely manner in alignment with organizational messaging.Provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

Experience – 2+ years of demonstrated experience in operational support and scheduling preferred. Experience in data entry, grant management, or finance administration preferred.  

Problem Solving- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to exercise of discretion and independent judgment.

Communication – Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work independently and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.

Computer Skills – Strong computer skills including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Schedule – Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operations hours as defined by leadership with flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend shift.

Adaptability – Ability to work professionally and positively with high attention to detail in various situations. Must have a high level of initiative and the ability to balance shifting priorities.

Emotional Capabilities – Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal clinic environment, including the humane use of euthanasia. Must have a high level of resiliency.
