Job Summary: The Veterinary Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants and for overseeing the daily operations of the Veterinary Center.
Salary: $24-25 per hour

Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am-5pm based on clinic needs;
- Every 3rd week: must be able to work a Saturday shift (alternate day off during the week)

Essential Functions
Veterinary Center Operations:
Manage workflow by ensuring timely and efficient Spay/Neuter, Exams, Dental, and Specialty surgery appointments.
Ensure quality and quantity of work performed is within organizational standards in areas of workflow, cleanliness, and organization.
Ensure that all protocols, policies and procedures are implemented and maintained through proper training for all Veterinary Center employees.
Monitoring existing processes and identifying areas for improvement, proposing solutions to enhance overall efficiency using data-driven decisions.
Assist with the development and implementation of new processes to ensure smooth operations, meet organizational goals, and improve customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure the team is well prepared to handle incoming inquiries and issues.
Work closely with fellow Vet Center Supervisors to maintain consistency and team support across clinics, collaborating on solutions and projects.
Assist with maintaining and ordering supplies.
Assist with adjustments to staff scheduling.
Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints.
Escalate complex concerns and complaints as needed.
Leadership:
Provide supervision, coaching, and development to direct reports as noted on the organizational chart, acknowledging accomplishments and providing regular feedback.
Lead department meetings and conduct one-on-ones with direct reports to ensure team members have the resources and support to be successful.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team up to and including termination.
Review and approve timecards and requested time off within payroll deadlines, working closely with employees to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with hiring new employees and oversee their training.
Communication and Culture:
Communicate in a positive and professional manner with customers, other employees, and volunteers.
Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion to make AHS a welcoming environment for all.
Technology:
Clock in and out of shifts using ADP.
Monitor AHS email and other messaging software.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
Schedule and Attendance:
Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours.
Attend and participate in regular team meetings, leadership meetings, all-staff meetings, and one-on-one meetings with direct leader.
May be required to attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
Work Environment:
Primarily office/desk based.
Adjacent animal shelter areas may be humid, noisy, or odorous.
Requirements
Experience:
Leadership experience required.
Experience working in operations or a veterinary clinic is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the team.
Strong administrative, organizational, and process management skills.
Strong multi-tasking, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with computers, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged sitting at a desk.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
Emotional Demands:
Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of humane euthanasia.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation required.
