At Norhart, our focus is to design, build, and manage luxury apartments. As Welder, you play an integral role in creating quality apartments for our residents to call home for years to come. You will work with our team in new construction, building apartments from the ground up. This will be a temporary position until the end of July.
Schedule: Monday- Thursday- 6AM until 4.30PM

Job duties and responsibilities
- Welding: Perform welding tasks using appropriate welding techniques, including TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas), to join and fabricate parts and components.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution of welding tasks.
- Preparation and Set-Up: Prepare workpieces by cleaning, degreasing, and removing impurities to ensure proper welding conditions. Set up welding equipment, including gas cylinders, torches, and power sources.
- Welding Equipment Operation: Operate welding equipment effectively and safely, including adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow rates to achieve desired welding results.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet the required specifications, including dimensions, joint strength, and overall visual appearance. Perform necessary repairs or modifications when needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Properly handle and store hazardous materials, such as welding gases and chemicals.
- Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with team members, including fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of projects, and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
- Welding experience: 1+ years in welding techniques, including TIG and MIG welding.
- Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand project specifications.
- Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to operate welding equipment, such as TIG and MIG welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
- Certified in light gauge welding both vertical and horizontal.
Other Requirements
- A Can-do attitude 😁
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Ability to work in noisy conditions with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye and ear protection
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
