Tax Senior Associate | Private Client Services

We are currently seeking a talented and driven professional to join our Private Client Services team!

Our Private Client Services team focuses on individual, estate/trust and closely held business clients. Work with this group to provide clients with tax compliance and consulting services to minimize tax and maximize growth.

 Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual (1040) and estate (1041) tax returns with varying degrees of complexity   
• Prepare some partnership (1065) tax returns (when needed)  
• Organize and coordinate clients’ income tax data for accurate and timely completion  
• Assist with filing tax extensions and amended returns  
• Assist with year-end planning and quarterly tax estimates  
• Prepare tax computations, workpapers, and tax entries  
• Respond to IRS or State Taxing Authority notices  
• Assist clients with adjusting journal entries (when needed)  
• Assist with initial preparation and set up of client files   
• Assist in researching technical tax issues  
• Assist with drafting client communications  
• Identify and communicate tax planning ideas with consultants  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• Familiarity with accounting software programs: ProSystemsFx Tax, CaseWare, BNA Fixed Assets, BNA Income Tax Planner, XCM, Maconomy, and Quickbooks specifically 
• 2+ years of accounting experience or a combination of degree and experience 
• Previous Public Accounting experience  
• Strong attention to detail 
• Familiarity with Internal Revenue Code, tax law, and tax processes 
• Ability to be flexible to changing circumstances and client needs 
• Ability to apply accounting concepts and theory
