Position Overview:

Teachers On Demand, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our network of educational professionals. This position will provide speech and language therapy services to students in a variety of school settings, working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote student success.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents and will be passionate about helping students develop communication skills to enhance their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and Assess: Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students’ speech and language development, identify impairments, and determine appropriate therapy goals.
• Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs, including goals for improving speech, language, and communication skills.
• Provide Therapy Services: Deliver one-on-one or group therapy to students with a variety of speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language delays, voice disorders, and more.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement strategies to support students’ communication needs both in and outside the classroom.
• Monitor Progress: Track students’ progress toward therapy goals and adjust treatment plans as needed. Provide regular updates to parents and school staff regarding student progress.
• Compliance: Ensure all services are provided in accordance with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and other state and federal regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, new therapies, and school policies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• Licensing: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Minnesota (or eligible for licensure).
• Certification: ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, or willing to pursue certification.
• Experience: Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapy techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and students.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach.

Compensation

$45-$70 per hour
