About the Role: As the Senior Director of Self-Directed Programs, you will provide strategic financial leadership to self-directed programs, lead program development to achieve financial targets and compliance with regulatory requirements, drive program success through financial analysis, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making, and foster accountability and align program initiatives with organizational objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Listen-Learn-Lead: Model the mission and values of Accord, helping people to live their greatest lives.
- Provide strategic leadership and foster a culture of accountability within the program teams.
- Identify opportunities to expand programs, enhance service offerings, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
- Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for program operations, financial performance, and service delivery. Use data-driven insights to identify trends, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and revenue targets.
- Maintain and improve program quality while adhering to state and federal regulations, including MN DHS requirements.
- Lead and manage the self-directed programs, focusing on payroll and billing-driven operations tied to waiver-based funding. Oversee the integration of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) recorded time into the Electronic Health Record for accurate billing against service agreements.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and documentation to support program success.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets. Analyze fiscal data, forecast revenue, and ensure effective cost control.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and enhance financial performance.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions.
- Apply the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to align program strategies with organizational goals.
- Lead initiatives to expand self-directed service offerings and attract new funding sources.
- Collaborate across departments to align program operations with licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations, including adherence to MN DHS policies for billing and service agreements.
- Conduct audits, assess risk, and implement corrective actions to maintain program integrity and quality standards.
- Mentor and support program staff to foster professional growth and achieve productivity goals.
- Model Accord’s mission and values, empowering teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Serve as the program representative for program areas, building positive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Make program presentations to committees, boards, and funders to strengthen partnerships and promote program success.
- Promote and model best practices in service delivery including person-centered planning and personal empowerment approaches.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant human services field required; Master’s Degree preferred. If you hold a Social Work degree, we expect you to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as required.
- 5+ years of work experience required in the field of human services working with older adults and people living with disabilities.
- 5+ years of experience in financial or program leadership/management roles, preferably within self-directed services or healthcare setting required.
- Strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage efficient processes, documentation, and procedures.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to self-directed services, payroll, and billing systems, such as MN DHS, EVV, and EHRs.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills/abilities.
- Proficient in GSuite, Excel, and third party analytics.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to be used as needed for work related functions.
