Requirements
Matching/Hiring Process:
Accord’s Family Support Services internally tracks individuals looking for/in need of staff and potential caregiving staff who are interested in working as staff/working more hours. Accord then assesses potential staffing matching through this system. Accord personnel, most often the Senior Director, provides the name and contact information of potential staff to people supported and/or their family members/guardian(s). Then, people supported, their families, and/or their guardian(s) will reach out to the potential staff. When an effective match is made and both parties agree to move forward with the potential caregiving staff to act as staff, Accord will then assign the caregiving staff to the person supported, train and hire the caregiving staff (when applicable), and get the caregiving staff set up in Accord’s timesheet system to begin employment with the person supported. Note: caregiving staff must be able to pass a DHS background check to be eligible for employment.
Education:
You must have a minimum of a high school degree or GED (or relevant/equal education).
