Accountinuity is excited to partner with a local fast-growing company who seeks an accounting leader to join their team.
Our client is a construction contractor focused on earthwork services and is currently starting a general contracting business as well. As they grow, our client is focused on bringing their unique combination of size, spirit and skill to ensure success at the most immense or specialized jobs. The company is dedicated to its success and is currently implementing the entrepreneurial operating system (EOS) and they seek someone to fill the finance seat on their accountability chart. Role & Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting Leadership
- Oversee all reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue, costs, and project/program budgets and expenditures.
- Implement cost control measures to keep the company, departments, and projects on budget.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial progress, changes and forecasts.
- Assist leadership team with annual budgeting and planning.
- Administer and review all financial plans. Compare to actual results. Identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Manage organizational cash flow forecasting, including weekly cash flow projections.
- Continuously collaborate with operations leadership to assess the financial value of program operations.
- Establish finance and administrative systems to support operations.
Team Leadership
- A seat on the Leadership team, driving the direction and future of the business by providing planning and analysis.
- Direct oversight of accounting team.
- Leverage strengths of people. Delegate appropriately. Provide clear and simple direction and support.
- Drive efficient / consistent processes and programs.
- Maximize individual and organizational goals.
- Oversee HR staff and ensure completion of HR duties as needed.
- Leadership path potential to Integrator seat.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree: Accounting/Business Administration, CPA or MBA, preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable to produce high-quality results.
- Experience working in construction or other related field.
- Tech savvy with experience managing relationships with software vendors.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
- General understanding of HR compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentations.
- Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels.
- You must be a self-starter with initiative and drive, capable of executing rapidly with limited strategic direction.
Benefits
Salary:
- Salary Range - $110,000 - $135,000
