HCC Risk Adjustment Coder Auditor

Our partner is seeking a HCC Risk Adjustment Coder Auditor in Minnetonka, MN. The role involves identifying, collecting, and documenting diagnosis codes while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This senior-level position requires strong coding knowledge and minimal supervision, with the ability to serve as a resource for others.

Responsibilities:

• Review medical charts to ensure accurate diagnosis coding and documentation
• Research and resolve assigned coding projects
• Conduct ongoing analysis of medical record charts to ensure coding compliance
• Participate in team meetings to provide updates and information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience beyond the degree
• Coding Certification required (AAPC/AHIMA - CRC, CPC, CPC-A, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA)
• Strong knowledge of coding practices, HCC risk adjustment, and medical record analysis
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• This position requires occasional onsite work in Minnetonka or Madison, based on business needs.
