Job Summary: Under the direction of the Senior Director, Finance, this position is responsible for administering key finance and accounting functions for the organization. The position is a process focused role that will promote and maintain efficient, effective, and standardized functions that support organizational programs. This position will also work closely with financial leadership in the organization in developing and implementing projects to continually improve and meet the needs of the organization. This position will supervise the Accounts Payable Clerk
Essential Functions (Not All Inclusive):
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Supervisor– Accounts Payable position has the primary responsibility of the Agency’s accounts payable function, including the following:
- Supervision of the Accounts Payable Clerk including work assignment and monitoring
- All purchasing and payment processes & procedures relating to payment for all Agency activities, or as the secondary responsibility for Agency departments with invoicing abilities.
- All processes for credit cards, including distribution of cards to program and training Agency staff procedures that are aligned with department/internal control protocols.
- All processes relating to tracking vehicle ownership, including licensing and registration.
- All processes relating to payment of payroll liabilities, including benefits, based on HR payroll reports and reconciliations.
- Communication with HR department relating to accurate and timely reporting of payroll liabilities and benefits.
- Ensures documentation received complies with applicable federal, state and other funder requirements.
- Serve as liaison, monitor and trainer for accounts payable related functions to Agency departments.
- Act as internal control for other accounting functions, as assigned, in accordance with Accounting & Financial Policies, Procedures and Internal Control Manual.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, Business related field preferred
- 5 + Years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting Function, preferably in non-profit and grant funded organization
- Prior experience or ability to construct and deliver concise, meaningful reports and presentations to multiple levels of the organization, including leadership and governance.
- Supervisory experience preferred

Core Technology Competency: Level 3 - Intermediate 2
Physical Requirements: Normal office physical exertion required. Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending and reaching with manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers; fax machines, calculators, copy machines, telephone and other office equipment.
Environmental Requirements: This job is usually in an office environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes include non-standard workplaces. The position works a standard work week. This position requires personal access to a vehicle to be used for business related matters, and have a current operator’s license and appropriate auto insurance as required by the state of Minnesota. Must be able to travel for training, meetings, and conferences.
Benefits

Starting Salary Range: $57,546 - $74,346 Annually
Schedule: M-F, 40 Hours/Week, Full Year
Remote Capability: This position has 20% remote capability.
1 day a week can be worked from home upon supervisor approval.
