Electrical Drafter

An Electrical Drafter is an entry level role learning the foundation of electrical drawings and details. This position will support Electrical Engineers and Electrical Lead Designers by providing basic electrical system design, documentation, and construction administration for projects.

Key Results Area #1:

1. Fully understand follow EP drafting standards.
2. Responsible for consistent sheet and background set-up.
3. Establish a high level of efficiency for all drafting tasks.
4. Complete construction documents with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
5. Set a standard for effective communication with staff and with other design professionals.

Key Results Area #2:

1. Learn and perform sizing and lay out all aspects of:

• Power design and documentation on all projects including communications, fire alarm and security systems.
• Lighting design and documentation on projects including use of light modeling software and energy calculations.
• Construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review and RFI's.

Requirements

Minimum:

• Certificate in Architectural Drafting or similar.
• 0-2 Years relevant electrical drafting experience as a student, intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and/or academic coursework.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
