Electrical Designer

An Electrical Designer is an entry level role learning the foundation of electrical drawings and details. This person should be eager to learn and be able to start working towards independence under the direction of an Electrical Project Designer or Project Engineer.

Key Results Area #1:

1. Accurately, efficiently size, and lay out all aspects of lighting systems including use of light modeling software and energy calculations.
2. Accurately, efficiently size, and lay out all aspects of power and low voltage systems including communications, fire alarms, and security systems.
3. Construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review and RFIs.

Key Results Area #2:

1. Fully understand follow EP drafting standards.
2. Responsible for consistent sheet and background set-up.
3. Establish a high level of efficiency for all drafting tasks.
4. Complete construction documents with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
5. Set a standard for effective communication with staff and with other design professionals.

Requirements

Minimum:

• Associate's Degree in Electrical Design or similar.
• 0-2 Years relevant electrical design experience as a student, intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and/or academic coursework.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
