Driver/Material Handler

The Driver will load parts using a forklift and then deliver parts to our local customer using the company truck and trailer.  CDL not required but must be able to receive DOT Medical clearance.

·         Must be able to lift and move items up to 50lbs.

·         Better than average attendance

·         Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and be self-motivated

·         Be organized

·         Willing to take instructions to learn proper procedures

·        Must be willing to start work at 6:30 am and possible Saturday

·         Comply with all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.

·         Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Requirements

What You Will Do:

·         Load and unload product/ racks from trucks.

·         Ensure all shipping crates/ pallets are properly loaded and secured.

·         Wrapping and preparing product for shipping.

·         Make deliveries to customer as needed throughout the day.

·         Must be able to drive a forklift.

·         Pre inspect forklift before operating.

·         Must operate equipment in a safe and effective manner.

·         Maintain and keep truck and trailer clean. Inspect weekly

·         Empty garbage from production floor.

·         Bring supplies to supply room and production floor as needed.

·         Ability to work in harmony with others.

·         Effective communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.

·         Maintain, organize and clean when required/instructed.

·         Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

·         Proper care and daily maintenance of assigned/ department tool and equipment.

·         Required to work in outdoor climate.
