Cost Accountant

Looking for a Cost Accountant for a full-time permanent position:

The ideal candidate will conduct cost studies, analyze reports, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and emphasize the reduction of risk, particularly in inventory practices.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze cost impacts of product design changes, raw materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate with Engineering on prototypes and bill of materials changes.
• Evaluate actual manufacturing costs versus standard costs.
• Generate detailed inventory analyses and aging reports.
• Manage physical inventory and cycle counting.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
• Identify excess and obsolete inventories for disposition.
• Support budget development and financial planning.
• Reconcile inventory accounts.
• Perform other corporate accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• 5+/- years of Cost Accounting experience in an ERP environment, ex. Syteline ERP System, Sage, Syspro, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Experience working for a company that keeps inventory on hand.
• Must be independent and comfortable with creating new processes.
