Corrosion Technician

New Flyer, a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses and electric mobility solutions, is seeking a dedicated Corrosion Technician to join their team. As a Corrosion Technician at New Flyer, you will play a crucial role in preventing and mitigating corrosion issues in the manufacturing process. Your expertise in corrosion prevention and your attention to detail will contribute to the overall quality and longevity of New Flyer's buses.

Responsibilities:

• Perform corrosion inspections on buses and identify areas of concern
• Conduct tests and analyses to determine the root causes of corrosion problems
• Develop and implement corrosion prevention strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize corrosion prevention methods in the manufacturing process
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to corrosion prevention
• Maintain accurate documentation of corrosion prevention activities and findings
• Provide technical assistance and training to production teams on corrosion prevention best practices
• Recommend and implement improvements to corrosion prevention processes and technologies
• Stay current with advancements in corrosion prevention techniques and technologies

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Corrosion Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of corrosion prevention methods and techniques
• Experience in conducting corrosion inspections and tests
• Ability to analyze data and identify root causes of corrosion issues
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to corrosion prevention
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of automotive or heavy-duty manufacturing processes is a plus
