Pay: Ranges from $49.00 - $56.00 per hour based on experience
Benefits:
· Paid Time Off (accrual based on # of hours worked each pay period)
· 4 floating holidays (# of day is per year based on start date)

Schedule: Part-time 8 hours/week
Shift times: 7:30am - 4:00pm OR 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Rotate between our Golden Valley and University Ave Clinics

Job Purpose: You are a curious and communicative team member. You provide professional recommendations, medical treatment, and surgical procedures to ensure the health of shelter and external customer animals.
What you will be doing:
Animal Care — Conduct comprehensive examinations, vaccinations, and routine medical procedures. Collaborate with clients to develop accessible plans to diagnose and treat medical conditions and provide recommendations for follow-up care. Perform HQHVSN and other general surgeries and dental procedures.
Communication — Educate pet owners on available preventive care and treatment options with a focus on non-judgmental communication and a spectrum of care approach. Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care in a fast-paced setting.
Record Keeping — Maintain records appropriate for your role, meeting all requirements of the Practice Act when treating customer animals. Ensure all controlled substances are recorded and used in accordance with DEA regulations.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
Experience — Must hold a valid Minnesota license to practice veterinary medicine.
Schedule — Availability to work during operational hours as defined by leadership with the expectation to work varied hours including evening and weekend shifts.
Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations and the willingness to assist at all sites.
Communication — Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a team member and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.
Physical and Emotional Capabilities — Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of high-volume work in a clinic and shelter environment, including the use of and assisting with euthanasia. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have a high level of resiliency.
